Engineering Inspections – for Farming or Plant & Construction
Having previously had an expensive compressor inspection we started using Farmers & Mercantile in 2011, to test jacks, chains, slings, compressors, telescopic loader and man frame.
Keith Short does a very intensive half day with good advice at a fair price, we also use a third party for health and safety advice which blends in well with Farmers & Mercantile, so we feel we are doing our bit for safety in a very sensible way.
We have used Farmers & Mercantile Engineering Inspection Service for several years now. We have a number of different types of units – tractor/loader, telehandlers, JCB excavator and trailer mounted Hiab. The equipment is checked over by an engineer with a working knowledge of the machines (not just learned from a text book) and any issues found are discussed. A detailed report is then issued for each individual machine, with helpful solutions to any defects that may have been identified.
Keith and his team have inspected my machines for a number of years and I have always found them to be prompt, efficient and thorough.
We have used the Farmers & Mercantile’s forklift and pressure vessel testing service for a number of years now. We have a number of different types of forklifts; counterbalance, telehandlers and truck mounted, operating out of two locations, nothing is ever a problem for these guys, they fit in with our working day whether it’s an early start with the harvesting crew, or waiting late for a delivery wagon to return to base. We get detailed reports on all forklifts and practical, helpful solutions to any issues that may have been identified.
