Mixed Farm Insurance

Testimonial
"6 years ago we moved to Farmers and Mercantile. In harvest 2006 one of our tractors and trailers was involved in a major collision with a car. This was not our fault but the car driver is trying to claim 7 figure damages. I have been very impressed with the amount of work Farmers and Mercantile have put in to ensure this claim is not paid. Moving to F&M has been a good decision for us"

Mixed Farm Insurance covers / can include:
|
|
- cover for your inputs (seed, fertiliser and chemicals) without limit on value as part of the cover on your arable crops at no extra cost.
- cover on crops whilst growing and in-store on a loss of income basis, which means that your crops are insured for their future market value and not the spot price on the day of the loss.
- cover for crops on the basis of maximum value stored at any one farm, this is important where you have a number of different farming locations, normally you would expect to insure the full value of crops at all locations. This can result in substantial premium savings.
- Competitive rates, that are exclusive to Farmers and Mercantile, for large tractors and combines that cost up to £300,000
- Whole farm contracting and share farming therefore no additional premium.
- Agricultural contracting (our definition is individual operations on different farms i.e. mowing, baling, ploughing, drilling, combining etc) can be included as standard on our policies.
- All vehicles including cars, commercial vehicle and agricultural vehicles and implements are covered on the vehicle fleet section of the policy.
- additional cost of working, this means that in the event of a tractor, combine, machinery or drier fire we will pay the full cost of hiring in a replacement machine or employing a contractor.
- A single policy – another advantage of the cover offered by us is that we can underwrite all of your insurable risks on a single policy to include; vehicle fleet, farm buildings, crops, farm property, loss of income, liabilities, personal accident, houses and contents etc – greatly simplifying the paperwork involved and in turn reducing your premium cost.
|
- Cover on all vehicles on a fleet basis, this means that you are automatically covered as soon as you take delivery of an additional vehicle. No cover note is required although you must inform us.

- Standard public and products liability cover with a £5,000,000 limit.

- A single policy – by underwriting all of your insurable risks on a single policy you benefit from reduced premium cost.
