An Independent on-farm Insurance renewal review ensures that your best interests are served.
What is an On-farm Renewal Review?
An on-farm review is a thorough on-site assessment of all of your insurable assets and liabilities. During the review we consider the value of your machinery, crops, livestock, buildings, and contents and the associated risks so that we can advise on the different types of cover available from multiple insurers.
(Please note: where valuations are bespoke i.e. non-farm insurance related as with listed buildings we may advise that a valuation should be conducted by a specialist in that area).
You would be right to be sceptical about having someone advise you about your business needs who do not specialise solely in the agricultural sector. Most farm or farm related businesses are complex and principally misunderstood by those who focus on commercial non-agricultural insurance or private car and household insurance. We advise that you should only use an independent farm insurance specialist who has access to the market leading products.
Receiving an on-farm review is a benefit; it ensures that our clients’ businesses and lifestyles are insured properly. It’s quite common to make changes to the policy throughout its term, some having very little impact and some having real consequence, therefore so an annual in-depth discussion ensures that we provide an accurate presentation to insurers each year. The time spent with your broker also allows for clear communication and by no means least of all, an exchange of information ensuring that you comply with the terms of Full Disclosure.
Your annual renewal review allows time to discuss changes to your cover thereby ensuring that it remains valid. In the event that an insurer no longer wishes to underwrite a particular diversification risk we will seek new terms from the market.
