It’s Friday! Yay

And after a busy week I am looking forward to a slightly easier day helping the office prepare for Nidderdale Show on Monday. Today we are across at the show ground setting up our stand. If you are in the Nidderdale area make sure you come along to the show on Monday and say hello to us! We are on stand number 93 and will be serving hot food and refreshments all day.

This week I have been out and about on a few new business meetings. I enjoy doing new business as you get to meet a new client, learning about their business and then have the challenge of finding them some competitive cover! I have spent today sending the risk schedules to insurers and dealing with their underwriting queries. At the new business stage insurers require a lot of information as they want to have a full insight into the risk and a good understanding of what is going on. I am a very risk conscious person so I always like to make sure I offer my clients the widest cover available. I would hate for something to happen to a client and for them to not be covered correctly. Insurance is something that nobody wants but everybody needs!

On Tuesday evening I drove over to Holmfirth to deliver some Farm Safety training to Holme Valley and Penistone Young Farmers Clubs. The joint meeting was a great night and hopefully I managed to persuade a few of them it was more important to check the injured person before checking to see if the tractor was ok! The Farm Safety training is part of Curve which is a number of different modules developed by the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs (NFYFC) to help, benefit, and grow members. The Curve modules usually focus on different life skills. I was fortunate enough to be trained to deliver the Curve modules to clubs within the Yorkshire County.

Have a good weekend!
