Farmers in the Midlands can now have all their insurance queries answered by the experts on their weekly visit to Melton Mowbray Market.
Coinciding with Cattle and Sheep Market Day, our agricultural expert Will Kendrick will be based at FMIB’s new Melton Mowbray office, located in the main market area, every Tuesday, to speak to farmers and advise on their farm insurance needs.
We decided to open the market office in response to significant interest from farmers in the region, who valued face-to-face contact but struggled to make it to an office, due to time and travel constraints.
“Farmers are already time-strapped and could be faced with a long and arduous journey to meet with specialist insurance brokers or advisers,” said Will.
“We wanted to help them overcome the hurdle of time and distance by bringing the office directly to them.
“Melton Mowbray Market has one of the country’s largest livestock markets, with farmers from across the region and further afield regularly making the journey to attend auctions and conduct business.
“This makes it perfect placed to serve as our next office location, giving farmers the opportunity to meet with a specialist, face-to-face, at their convenience.”
Farmers & Mercantile have been operating in the farm insurance brokerage industry for more than two decades, with offices in Northamptonshire, Shropshire, Yorkshire and Ayrshire.
Many members of our team have farming backgrounds, giving them the requisite knowledge and understanding of their clients’ risks and challenges.
Speaking about the new office opening, Will said: “For any farmers who have any general farming insurance enquiries, would like to know more about FMIB’s products, or simply wish to get out of the rain – come by for a coffee and a chat.”
Our office in Melton Mowbray Market opened on the 17th of September.
